• I am pleased and excited to have this opportunity to speak with you on this occasion about, Art especially the topic of Pictorial Art. Today, I will outline my theme “Codification and Decodification of the Artistic Work”. As you are aware, there exist and have existed many artistic movements, amongst them I can name a few of these so called “ISMS”, which appeared as the Vanguard movements based on differing aesthetic and ethics foundations and which quickly replaced each other such as The Anti-Traditional, Innovation, Liberty, Experimental.

• To name a few of these artistic movements: Geometric Abstraction, Neo-Platonism, Constructivism, Fauvism, Cubism, Surrealism, Impressionism, Super-Realism, and Experimentalism etc. What is interesting about these movements is that they surface and develop between 1907 and 1927, especially in Russia, France and Germany. The commonalty of these movements is communicating a Codified Message, which constitutes the following discussion.

• The Art: We can attribute some Avant -Gard trends (Vanguard means to renew) “Those trends which affirm the Objectivity and Autonomy of its language and its capacity to create a “New Reality” which maintains that art opposes spatial inertia which is latent energy, color, light, graphic, super pictorial elements which are simple and visually controllable or symbolic and revealed without absolute clarity. They advance from the Traditional towards the unknown, resulting in a fine synthesis of its purposes; the essential component of Modern Art, inseparable from the idea and the totality of autonomy. This is made possible by an essential phenomenon, which resists being a mere copy or representation, transforming itself into a separate organism, replete with universal consistency.

• Abstract Art has been regarded as the conceptual facet par excellence, which has reached beyond Object, including all perceptive experience. It does not directly imitate or represent reality; or better said, it is based on the idea that It and the Form share their own Artistic Universe. This is the point where the Artistic Work emits a Message; utilizing certain concepts such as Communication, Language, Lexicon, Concept, Code, Channel, Coherence, and finally, Perception.

• The purpose of communication is to express a codified message and to provoke multiple responses. This message can be perceived as physical, imaginary, or interpretive conductor of ideas imbedded in a language which can be at once symbolic, iconographic relying with or without external elements or organized color systems.

• In said message, the language is a universe of interrelated elements, which allow us to traverse from one universe to another while recognizing them as members of a particular universe.
“Morphological Lexicon of Conceptual Iconography refers to the “Construction of one idea with a pictorial language characterized by multiple elements”. From here the solutions begin to derive their different maps, each with their own set of laws and meanings.

• These Codes are linguistic elements, which must adapt to the concept of communicating.
Said Codification essentially consists in translating the ideas and conferring to them meaning. This is carried out with the skills and mechanisms capable of producing a concept utilizing the canvas as channel an bearer for the entire work; an important factor by which the concept is effectively transmitted with coherency in the interaction between Artist + Work+Message+Recipient which = Decodification

• This refers to the translation of the message. This in combination with his sensory capabilities is what the recipient will use and rely on to explain The Autonomous Universe of the Work. Demographic characteristics and diverse belief systems will influence the individual viewer’s translation, assigning to the work a different personality, thereby fragmenting the interpretation through socio-cultural perspectives while attempting to frame it in its totality.

• The spatial universe of the work can be interpreted as a graphic theory; which underscores the importance of Perception; a knowing recipient of the multiple iconographic elements, sensory stimulation and a vast information linked to the point of reference and field of vision in a given artistic world so to attain the comprehension and interpretation of the Artistic Work or of its Codified Autonomous Universe. Every viewer or recipient will interpret and define the elements differently. Some of the elements will be a shared commonalty of viewers whereas others will interpret the real message of the work differently. It is important to note that many viewers, lacking these qualities, will decipher and interpret a completely different message from the one the Artist intended.

All art has a central idea that usually it’s intrinsic or it specifies, conceived from before plazmar itself with the necessary elements selected by the artist… This, in its imaginative world the result of its work resorts to elements plastic in its eagerness to communicate a feeling of in determine nature ..... Will economically happen to be a distinguished masterpiece that immediately each receiver valorized sentimental and. Even so, it does not let fulfill its assignment, the intention by which it was conceived and it executed, this could be very diverse since it will depend on the cognitive wealth of each receiver. Catapulted to the fame this work already will be perceived like a set, a world in which you are educated, it delights and you decorate a restricted space.

The gift of contemplation in the human being, of self-reflexion, creativity and application of the intellect; they extend to the conceptualization on the basis of philosophical knowledge; although often they can be concretize from absent worlds.

This virtue to identify, to question, coherence or contradiction; based on the “Eidón” of the particular premises of an artist visual and reflected by an artistic spectator; it is where both cognitive and philosophical worlds interact. That world rationalized or empirical of sensations and reflections is what provides the general universe of the work in him and its origin.

The social discipline of the ART, or almost all creative manifestation of the Human being in its evolution through the times, fromthe first appearances in the Paleolithic; they have like purpose: - The Communication or Ideas, Emotions or General Vision of the World. Expressions given with Graphical resources,Linguistics, Sonorous, Extra-pictorials or Mixes; still academic and the institutional thing that it is restricted to certain Visual or Plastic Arts.

Each manifestation of ART, genetically is bound to the Philosophy of the Author, Idea of Conception, Aesthetic and its vast Artistic Cognition or No work this except of the Intention, Sensation and Perception at the time of its execution; what, cited in the way of the Communication…. Of so many currents exist there as reflected vanguards of the art in almost all the scopes of he himself.

Once the masterpiece are finalized , this one happens to the stage of Independence and Autonomy without separating of their fundamental origin, the Philosophical Genes of their Creator, producing an extensive Universe at the moment at which each Artistic Receiver stops thus is a second for their Perception and Interpretation sustained by their Formation and Cognition.

This personality of the Masterpiece, comes intrinsic like the DNA in Being Human at the time of it's Creation, always genes of its creator. Today, the masterpiece of Art , more than decorative, is a long term economic investment by collectors, Institutions or simple buyers. To the decorative plan pass by the descendent's of the original masterpiece's , these would be reproductions in great amounts in any technique.
